UP AND COMING PROJECTS

We are running a number of projects with various staff and departments throughout the college at the moment, which we hope will have some positive results and hopefully benefit staff and students alike.

Blogs
We are running a blogging pilot with the the subject librarians to see if this would be an easier way to get information across to their subject areas. Each subject librarian has their on blog which they update with news and information relevant to their area. The idea is to make these blogs available for students and staff to access through Blackboard if the trial is successful.

Podcasting
Sophie, our e-learning officer is still trying to find staff willing to take part in a Podcasting pilot. This in short, would involve her recording your lectures and making them available on Blackboard for your students.
Attention Students: If you would like be able to listen to recordings of your lectures online then please mention this trial to your lecturers!

Tutorials
Currently Jane Edwards and Karen Pinney and trialing online tutorials with a number of students within blackboard. They are also trialing their own area on Blackboard which they can develop content such as study skills and careers information relevant to the tourism sector.
